Trapunto & boutis needle kit

Boutis is a traditional technique which evolved from Matelassage, another form of Provençal quilting. By embroidering motifs and padding certain parts using bits of cotton, the light and shadow create a dance between transparency and relief. The Boutis needle is a longer and finer one. The work is much easier with this needle, which is perfectly designed for attaching narrow tunnels using a lasso (2 mm wide). Made in France in our factory, from nickel-plated steel, our needles go through 27 manufacturing stages, which guarantees an incomparable slide and an irreproachable tip.
